EDENBRIDGE: Orchestra Recordings For New Album To Take Place In October
August 13, 2007Austrian symphonic metal band EDENBRIDGE has issued the following update:
"The orchestra recordings for the new EDENBRIDGE album will take place in Prague on October 12. EDENBRIDGE will be supported by the 65-piece 'Czech Film Orchestra' (consisting of musicians from the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and the Czech State Opera Orchestra). The orchestra will be heard on 9 out of 10 songs plus the intro and did recordings for renowned Hollywood productions in the past. Lanvall's [guitar, keyboards] orchestral arrangements are currently put into the final score by famous conductor/composer/accordion virtuoso Enrique Ugarte."
EDENBRIDGE will enter the studio on September 19 to start the recordings for its sixth album. Mix is scheduled for early January and the CD will be released in April/May 2008 via Napalm Records. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Undying Devotion", "Fallen from Grace", "Place of Higher Power", "Whale Rider" and "Remember Me". The album will contain 10 songs plus an intro.
EDENBRIDGE's rarities/"best of" compilation, entitled "The Chronicles of Eden", was released on June 1. The set was released as a double-CD and limited double-digipack. Disc One contains three new, previously unreleased songs, all Japanese and European bonus tracks and songs that were included on all out-of-print singles. Disc Two includes a "best of" selection out of the five released studio albums.
EDENBRIDGE's fifth album, "The Grand Design", was issued in the U.S. on January 30 via Napalm Records. The follow-up to 2004's "Shine" was recorded at The Farpoint Station studio in Austria and the Thin Ice facility in England with THRESHOLD mastermind Karl Groom.
